Recently we were moving some sheep to another pasture and about 25 head ran off from the flock. I tried to get around them with the 4 wheeler but because I was paying so close attention to the sheep I hit a mound of dirt and turned over. Fortunately I was not going very fast but I found out one thing, the older you get the harder the ground is.

Anyway I finally caught up to them and tried to drive them to the pens. Those sheep wanted to go every way but the way I wanted them to go. Three sheep tried to go four different directions. I finally got them to the pens but it took a lot of hard work.

Those sheep reminded me of something in the Bible. The Bible, Gods Holy Word, talks about the heart of man or the natural heart of man, (Genesis 6:5&6, 8:21). It says that the heart of natural man does not want to do what God wants and is constantly trying to go astray, (Deuteronomy 5:29, Isaiah 53:6, Hebrews 3:10).

Not only is natural man hard of heart but also stiff necked, (Mark 7:6, Acts 7:51). There is hope, God can change those hearts if we will let Him, (Acts 8:22, Romans 10:9-11).

See You in Church Next Sunday.
