Deanna Wells Saul, 68, of Brady, passed away Friday, October 23, 2009 at her residence.

Deanna Wells was born, June 13, 1941 in the Rough Creek Community of San Saba County to John B. Wells and Beryl Locker Wells.

Deanna worked most of her life as chief financial officer for Aus-Mex Corporation. She was a member of the Baptist Church and was a friend to many with a generous heart the size of Texas, and just ornery enough to speak her mind even if she was wrong.

Deanna was known best for her sense of humor and her belief in a simple philosophy: Live free or die tying. Her wishes are that you think or her and toast her now and again, but do not mourn her.

Deanna is survived by two sons, Johnie Bob Saul and his wife Belinda of Oklahoma City, OK; Tim Saul and his wife Rose of Clovis, New Mexico; three grandchildren, Jake Saul, Sean Saul and Zane Saul; two brothers, Joe Bob Wells and his wife Melody of Brady, and Greg Wells and his wife Jan of Dallas; and five nieces.

Deanna was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Darlene Sasser; and one brother, Ronnie Wells.

The family requests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Richland Springs.
