Carolyn McDowell gave the program "Second Addition". She gave a slide presentation on how to redecorate our homes by recycling or buying small items to change the look of our homes. Tablecloths may be used as drapes, or added window treatments. We could paint a lamp and purchase a new shade to have a new look, as well as rearranging pictures or items on shelves or tables.

A business meeting followed. Some of the topics were upcoming events.

Lunch and Learn will be held at the Methodist Church at noon on October 28th. This is open to the public. The program will be the San Saba Nature Park.

The Wallace Creek Thanksgiving Supper will be Monday, November 9th at 6:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to the Wallace Creek Schoolhouse to share food and fellowship.

The Health Fair is to be November 10th at the Civic Center.

The San Saba Pecan Food Show will be December 4th at the courthouse first floor. Bring your baked goods for judging from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. There will be a bake sale after the judging. This event is open to club members, youth and non-club members. Rules may be obtained from the extension office.

The meeting was adjourned.
