We had 1.7 inches of rain Sunday morning. Grace and Harold Hardman reported 2 inches. Our countryside is so pretty and green. We should have a lot of wildflowers in the spring thanks to all the good rain.
The 42 tournament will be Saturday night in Elm Grove. The Busy Bee quilters will meet on the 13th and the gospel singing is on the 17th. We will be looking for you, there.
Marilyn Suber and I attended the Holt Cemetery meeting last Saturday. There were 10 in attendance. Officers elected were, Yvonne Cook, president; Dwight Gober, vice-president; Patricia Nehr, treasurer. Marilyn Suber was appointed secretary following the resignation of the present secretary. Directors are Wayne Nelson and Irene Cummings.
We had a good day Monday. After dropping my car off at Royce Miller’s shop in Brownwood, Marilyn, Michael and I met Bethany Suber for supper and a visit. She is so busy with work and school in Stephenville, we have to grab a visit whenever we can. We also visited with my sister and nephew, Addie and Lowell Long.
The Richland Springs Coyotes just wiped out Buckholts last Friday night with a score of 70-6 by the halftime. That is no fun for anyone! The Coyotes will now host Eden for their homecoming game this week.
We were able to attend the game, but some were saying they still could not pick up the broadcast on the radio. I don’t know what the problem is.
