Trenton Hamrick was honored on his 80th birthday with a meal at the home of his son, Lynn Hamrick. The meal was steak, sausage, baked potatoes, salad, rolls, cake and homemade ice cream. C.K. Stevenson brought his famous homemade bread. Bode Barker of Llano played the music for everyone to enjoy.
Trenton Hamrick was born to Carl and Maude Bowers Hamrick on Aug. 29, 1929 in San Saba, Texas. Trenton Hamrick married Patsy McCoury on Sept. 2, 1954 in Fort Worth, Texas. They have three children, Cynthia Hamrick, Lynn Hamrick, and Kathy Saucillo. Three granddaughters, Leslie Edens, Jennifer Wilder, and Larissa Saucillo; one grandson, Logan Saucillo; three great-granddaughters, Hunter Nasato, Emma Van Bibber, and Rylie Edens.
Trenton grew up and attended schools at Spring Creek, Lampasas, and San Saba, and served four years in the military.
Trenton went to work for Hill Imp. Co. in Feb. 1959. In 1970, he became owner and operator, and operates the business at the present time.
As an active Mason, he served as Master Mason, Senior Deacon, Tiler, Junior Warden and Worshipfull Master; served the 70th Masonic District as District Deputy Grand Master, and received his 50 year pen.
Trenton was a member of the Young Farmers for many years; and President of the San Saba Farm Bureau.
Trenton borrowed money in 1976 to have Parkview Baptist Church built. He was a member there until June 27, 1999 when he had to move his membership. He is now a member of First Baptist, Llano for 10 years.
He has helped many people that needed help throughout the years.
