Recently I attended a seminar at church on financial freedom, strength and getting out of debt. It is much needed in these times. Not only did it teach you how to get out of debt but how to stretch your dollar or make it go farther.
The Bible talks about prosperity and being well off not only in the pocket book but in all areas of life.
In one passage of the Bible, (Psalm 1:1) it gives three steps or areas that will help us have a way of well being.
First, be careful who we get our advice or counsel from. It may be a mentor or someone we think highly of. If they are not a godly person or are doing things dishonestly or in a wicked way do not listen to or follow them.
Second, what is our way of life or lifestyle? Is our lifestyle one that honors God or one that pays no attention to God or His Word? For instance, are we well known at the parties and outings or are we well known at the local Church?
Thirdly, who are our friends and who do we hang out with? Are they Christians that are trying to live to please God or are they people trying to just gratify themselves for the moment.
Do not be deceived “Bad company corrupts good morals” (1 Corinthians 15:33). See you in Church next Sunday.
