ECCLESIASTES 8: "There is no man that hath power over the spirit: neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war: neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it." (8) "But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days which are as a shadow: because he feareth not God."

There have been millions and millions of people who have lived in this flesh and blood life prior to our existence, and not even one has been able to prolong their life when death made its call. That is God's plan for man, and if we use spiritual wisdom, we will prepare for death (Hebrews 9:27 "And it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement)" It is a truth; we will not escape death, and we should be concerned how to prepare for it. Is it vital for us to know how to prepare for death? The answer to that question is clearly found in the reason God permitted His Only Begotten Son to suffer the terrible crucifixion. In His wisdom, God know people needed a pattern to show how He wants them to live this earthly life, and follow it as their example to live in the flesh. Do we believe with an unshakable faith that Christ is the example God wants us to follow? Note: (Hebrews 11:6, "But without faith it is impossible to please God.)" Hence, if we believe Christ is the example God wants us to use as our pattern for life: we should make it our number one and highest priority for life. I will pray aloud every morning for God to help me make this my number one priority for each day of living. Will you do the same with faith to please God; and bring blessings to you?

For any who might be reading this, I will ask that you pause a few seconds and ask for God's Holy Spirit to help you visualize God's position and feelings on this matter. That should sadden us to know the whole world, generally speaking, is not desiring to use the precious gift of Christ's example as a pattern for this earthly life, and it is causing a turning away from God's ways to seek pleasures and greedy desires to satisfy the flesh. God is LOVE, and He does have feelings. Do you feel His feelings are being hurt, and He may be very disappointed to see so many turn away from the good He wants to give? That can become such evil sin; God may choose to not forgive. God is very forgiving, merciful, and slow to anger. But Biblical history tells us that evil spirits and selfish sins have caused God to become angry enough to bring evil nations against His own people and punish them without mercy. Can this happen to our present sinful world? You are not a true Christian if your answer is not a positive yes. Our Nation and world is becoming very, very sinful and there are many unwanted events happening right now that could be a beginning of God's warning that always preceeds His punishments. Remember; His punishments can be without mercy. And look again at our text. You can ignore the warning of God and not fear Him, but that will not go well for you.
