The family held the 85th consecutive family reunion on Sunday, August 2nd at the Senior Center. The first Sunday in August was selected because it would be the closest Sunday to "Grandpa's" birthday. W.T. (Dubis) Vogel, Jr. (oldest person there); Jodie Vogel from Burleson; Anita Crosby from San Saba; C.W. and Cathy Roberds Cox from San Saba; Bob and Judy Renker from Temple; Gary Vogel from San Saba; Margaret Carolyn and Thomas Stiles from Temple; Rodney and Cindy Sue Vogel from Richland Springs; Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Patton from San Saba; Raymond Patton and friend from San Saba; Dolores and Vestine Nesloney from Victoria; Doug and Vicki Vogel Smith from Richardson; who also brought their granddaughter Maren Smith who was visiting them from Indiana (came the longest distance); Jim Roach and Valton Vogel from San Angelo; Clay and Christina Vogel with son Cayson (the youngest person in attendance), Joseph (Joe) and LaVerne Vogel from Dallas; and Bettye McLaughlin from San Saba; David Meridith and son David Jr. from Florence; and Marshall Stiles and Karmeron Rivers from Academy.

Everyone enjoyed getting together, visiting, being brought up to date. All brought covered dishes and the feast was super. It was voted to have another reunion next year! Keep up the great reunion as long as the Vogel kinfolks can travel.
