A double anniversary celebration honoring Woodrow & June Riggs on their 63rd anniversary, and Marvin & Barbara Riggs on their 60th anniversary was held at The Father’s House Fellowship Hall on Sunday July 26, 2009, from 1:30 till 3:00 p.m.

The two Riggs brothers and their wives were both married in San Saba. Woodrow and June married on Sept 14, 1946. Marvin and Barbara were married on June 10, 1949.

The appointments were set with a cake honoring each couple, a silver coffee server, antique punch bowl, fresh flowers, candles and an abundance of fresh fruit. The cakes were served by Marvin and Barbara’s granddaughters Mindy Sebastian, Jessica Noble, and Yoki Riggs. The punch was served by their daughter-in-law, Sheri Riggs and Sheri’s daughter, Raven Morley.

Guests were greeted and registered by Cynthia Brand and Diana Flores. Lovely tables displayed photographs of each couple and their families.

Immediate family of Woodrow and June who were in attendance were: their daughter, Sandy Del Monte of Spicewood; June’s brother and wife, Clifton and Jean Summers of Midland.

Immediate family members of Marvin and Barbara in attendance were: Mitchell & Becky Riggs; Jordan & Yoki Riggs, Morgan and Micah; Travis & Jessica Noble, Hannah, Josiah, Asa; Monty & Debarah Riggs; Tim & Mindy Sebastian, Macy & Olivia; Matthew & Sheri Riggs, Raven & Piper; James & Pat Smith; Barbara’s brother and sister-in-law, John & Jayme Kinnison and Haley; Barbara’s niece and her husband, Norma Mackel; Barbara’s sister, Sandy Cover and her daughter Keri, niece of Barbara.

Other out of town guests were: Ward & Linda Plumley; Sammy & Gwen Plumley; Carter & Melody Plumley; Louis Plumley; Gloria Singleton; and Dennis Spinks.
