Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lawhan of Cleburn, Tx. and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil D. Scott of Cherokee, Tx. are proud to announce the engagement of their children, Cynthia Lawhan and Joseph Scott.

Cynthia is the granddaughter of Villa Coggin of Cleburn and the late H.B. Coggin; and the late Altus and Ima Jean Jones of Cleburn, TX. She is a 2004 graduate of Godly High School, and a 2006 graduate of Hill College.

Joseph is the grandson of Cecil Joe and Betty Scott of Round Mountain, TX., and the late Ernest Lee and Leatha May Oliver of Cherokee, Tx. He is a 2004 graduate of Cherokee High School.

The couple are planning a spring wedding.
