Cherokee Grocery will close this Saturday at Noon (12:00).

I will be attending Judy McCown’s wedding in Brownwood. Judy was a devoted employee at Cherokee Grocery while she was in High School.

Danny and Janiece Duggan spent the holiday with Ryan, Lacy, Payton Duggan in Sterling City.

Tommy, Kaci, Talli and Tori Morrison spent a week in San Antonio on vacation.

Don and Carol Ann and Judy Burdine have been on vacation to Washington State where their son and family lives and also visiting family and friends in Oklahoma.

Sydnie and Payton Suggs and Ali Hager spent the holiday with Doug and Cyndi Suggs.

Keith and Keri Davis and girls just returned from a visit in Oregon. They went to see Keith’s family and Keri’s brother and his family. Keri’s parents went with them.

Nettie Jean Randolph and family went to Wolf Creek Lodge this week.

Jay and Vickie Parr have been entertaining family at their lake house in Kingsland.

A birthday party was held at the Baptist Church last Saturday for Ruth Millican. Ruth was Ninety years old. Earlier in the day Ruth and family attended the Millican Reunion.

Remember the Rabies Clinic being held at the Fire Hall this Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Chris, Kristy and Hank Perry spent last week in Florida at Disney Land. Hank came back with the flu.

Congratulations to Curt McKneely. Curt was selected for Who’s Whom Among Students in America Universities and Colleges. Curt attends college at San

Angeleo State. Curt is spending his summer as a counselor at a Church Camp.

The Baptist Youth are at camp in Brownwood for the week. Their sponsors are Jody Simmons, Paul and Jennifer Bordner.

Last week the Junior High Cheerleaders had Cheer Camp at the Home gym. The cheerleaders are Amber Bell, Bailey Arms, Emily Skaggs, Macayla Arms and Nicole Franklin. Pep Squad members that attended were June Sanderson and Holly Vaughn.The camp teachers were Colleen Courtney and Candice Womack. They would like to thank the teachers and also the Cherokee Home for furnishing the gym.

Roman, Angela, Ross and Dean Maddox spent several days visiting Roddy and Barbara Maddox.

The cookbooks that the Cherokee PTC made should be in very soon.
