Mill Pond Park will be the location of a 4th of July Celebration presented by Impact 2000Plus and the City of San Saba.

Festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a Flag Retirement Ceremony conducted by Boy Scout Troop 55 of San Saba. This will be followed by a bluegrass concert by the Sieker Band starting at 7:00 p.m. The fireworks show with a musical presentation will begin at dark. Concessions will be available and will benefit Impact 2000Plus. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy an old fashioned Independence Day Celebration with your friends and neighbors.

In Cherokee, the PTC will sponsor a July 4th Celebration, also. The parade will start at 5:00 p.m. and a hamburger supper and games will be held at the school. The Fireworks Show will begin at dark.

Richland Springs will hold their 12th Annual Stars & Stripes Celebration on the 4th with a full day of festivities. The parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. Some of the activities include: Horseshoes & Washers at 10:00 a.m., 4-Wheeler & Go Cart Mud Races at 1:00 p.m., 42 Tournament at 1:00 p.m., Tricycle Races at 3:00 p.m., Watermelon Competition at 4:00 p.m., R.C. Willey & the Sunriders Band at 5:00 p.m., and the Famous Fish Fry at 6 p.m. Fireworks will begin at dark.
