The Heart of Texas Country Music Association sponsored a tour to Branson, Missouri, on May 16th through the 20th. The association chartered two buses for the trip. Eighty six people enjoyed the five day trip that featured entertainment by Moe Bandy, Yakov Smirknoff, Shoji Tabuchi, Barbara Fairchild, Pretty Miss Norma Jean, Ricky Boen and Texas Mud, Jim Stafford, Allen Edwards and the Dixie Stampede. The Heart of Texas Country Music Association is based in Brady, but tour guests came from San Angelo, Fredericksurg, Boerne, Llano, Mason, San Saba, Marble Falls, Kingsland, Brownwood, San Antonio, Austin and Dallas to take part in the Branson trip.
