Memorial Services will be held for William and Luella Gray at the Gray Cemetery Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. Doug and Cyndi Suggs and Jeremy and Sheila Suggs went to LaPorte to see Sydnie Suggs graduate. While there they also saw Monica and Samuel Baisden, Tiffany, Jeff and Payton Suggs. Sydnie will be going to LSU in the fall.

The children from Cherokee Home for Children along with some staff went to Heart of Texas Bible Camp in Brady Texas. Doug Suggs also went. The children had a great time and so did the adults.

Clariece Lively has been in the Llano hospital but is now back at the nursing home in Kingsland.

Janiece Duggan is in Cheyenne, Wyoming visiting Jerrod Duggan and family. She is sewing curtains, cooking and doting over her grandsons.

Talli Morrison and Yvette Torres went to camp Blue Haven in New Mexico where Kandis and Wayland are working.

Tommy and Kaci Morrison went camping in Fredericksburg last week while the girls were at camp. This week they have a house full of girls visiting.

Some of the children and staff from the Cherokee Home for Children are on vacation this week. The Davis family went to Oregon and the Burdines went to Washington. The Windham family went to New Mexico for David Windham’s wedding. The Covington’s are visiting family all over Texas.

Mrs. A.K. (Camielle) Scott was laid to rest in the Gray Cemetery last Monday.

We extend our sympathy to the family. J. L. Coffman’s daughter and family spent a few days visiting. They even enjoyed the San Saba Rodeo.

Avery and Maurine Johnson recently spent time in Minnesota. Avery went fishing in Canada with his brother Bob. They went with a group from Bob’s Church.

Nancy McKneely is spending part of her summer vacation visiting her mother, Willena McKneely. Nancy teaches school at Victoria.

Angela Maddox from the Dallas area was in Cherokee this weekend to pick up Ross and Dean.
