Live Oak EE Club met June 15, 2009 at the Live Oak Club House. We were joined by the Simpson Creek EE Club.
The meeting was called to order by Dorothy Gage who led us in the EE Club Collect. Roll call was answered by naming the exercise you do to keep healthy.
Janie Potts, a nurse with Velita Smith Home Health was our speaker. She presented an interesting talk entitled "Paving the Path to Wellness."
Following Mrs. Pott's talk a short business meeting was held. Live Oak members were given tickets to sell for a quilt raffle as our fundraiser.
The king sized quilt is red, white, and black. It is made from quilt squares donated by Live Oak member Amanda Jackson and was hand quilted by Bertha Griffay.
Contact any Live Oak member for a chance to own this beautiful quilt. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.
Sandwiches, fruit, lemonade, and cookies were served to the following members: Dorothy Gage, Betty Wilson, Carol Littlefield, Bertha Griffay, Jeanne Sauer, Marcie Cooper, Martha Roe Terry, Sherri Cradduck, Kim Wells, Suzanne Walters, Louise Oswald, and Myrna Najar.
