The Annual Wallace Creek Ice Cream Supper was held at the historic Wallace Creek School house grounds on Monday evening June 22nd. The Wallace Creek Extension Education Club ladies and guest enjoyed delicious homemade ice cream, and music in the shade of huge pecan trees. The school house is approximately 4 miles out Wallace Creek Road (1030).

The Wallace Creek Education Extension Club met Thursday, June 18th at the historical Wallace Creek Schoolhouse on the banks of Wallace Creek.

Janie Potts gave the program "Paving the Way to Wellness". The six dimensions of wellness are social, occupational, spiritual, physical, intellectual and emotional. The group did simple exercises that can be done in a chair. Each person told ways they exercise.

A short business meeting was held. The main topics were getting a historical marker for the schoolhouse, which more research needs to be done on,and working with the San Saba County Historical Commission. Also, the group planned for the annual Ice Cream Supper to be held Monday, June 22nd on the lawn of the schoolhouse at 6 p.m. The announcement appeared in last week's San Saba News and Star, plus members told the public.

There will be no meetings for July and August. The next meeting will be in September.

The hostess, Jackie Doner served fruit and punch to Lynn Blankenship, Doris Cates, Jackie Doner, Noma Fitzgerald, Imogene Hawkins, Marilyn Miller and guest Linda Boss.
