San Saba High School Girls Basketball team competed in and won the Mason Spring Shoot Out on May 22 and May 23. They defeated Junction, Coleman, and Lorena in pool play. They were seated #1 in tournament play where they defeated Mason, Coleman and San Angelo to win the tournament.

The girls won 6 games in 26 hours. They showed great determination, tenacity and conditioning.

Bianca Zepeda, Paige Chambers, and Sylvia Jimenez played on Friday but were unable to play on Saturday, therefore are not pictured. Nicole Sears showed great leadership as player/coach. These girls are off to great summer play and the future looks bright for the 2009-2010 basketball season.
