It’s time to consider your student’s future and the challenges presented by increasing costs of higher education. To help you prepare, a free financial aid orientation will be held on Thursday, January 8th, at 6:00 p.m. in the San Saba High School cafeteria.

The program should last about an hour and will cover the steps in completing the general application form (FAFSA), stress the importance of grants and scholarships, and explain the nature of student and parent loans. There will also be a drawing for a $200 scholarship for attending senior students or for seniors represented by a parent.

Although the presentation focuses on 2009 graduates, all students and parents are welcome and would benefit from the session.

For more information, please call Dana Pannell, San Saba High School Counselor, at 372-3850.
