Doug Suggs had surgery on his foot last week. He will be on crutches several weeks. Before his surgery Doug was able to go to Sonora on a preachers hunt. Robert Baugh and Trey Dobbs also went.
DiAnne Scott had surgery on her knee last Tuesday. The doctor told her she would be able to walk right away.
Monica and Samuel Baisden, Tiffany and Payton Suggs and Jeremy and Sheila Suggs spent last week-end with Doug and Cyndi Suggs. They celebrated Christmas a little early. Payton stayed a few extra days with grandma and grandpa.
A lot of the children and staff of Cherokee Home for Children are visiting friends and family for the holiday season.
Cherokee United Methodist Church will have a new pastor effective January 1st. His name is Eddie McGee, formerly of San Saba. We welcome Eddie to Cherokee.
Holiday guests of Robert and Sue Broyles were Al Broyles, Dustin and Jimma Busenlehner; Andy and Susan Broyles all of Cherokee; Colt Broyles of Big Spring; Will and Sarah Broyles of Gatesville; Jaecob, Lacy, Morgan and Rayleigh Hardman of Stephenville; Robbie, Paulie, Trevor, Skye Broyles and friend Nathaniel of Spring Branch; Les, Mandy and Katherine Broyles of New Braunfels. Also stopping in were George and Melinda Kiddie of Farmington, New Mexico.
Larry and Paula Windham had all their children, grandson and David and Reese’s girlfriends and Larry’s mother in for the holidays.
Robert and Vickie Baugh and children Brissa and Gunner spent the holidays in Temple with family.
Garland and Sherry Cross and Victor Cross went to Mesquite and then to San Angelo to spend time with family during the holidays.
Mozelle Boultinghouse spent Christmas Day with her sisters. They all had a good time. All their children had visited them before Christmas.
Mayzelle Bagley had all her children and grandchildren in for Christmas.
The Randolph Family had a holiday meal on the Sunday before Christmas at the home of Michael and Lynda Randolph. The whole family was present. The little ones are such a joy!
Jay Clopton and grandson from Hamlin visited in Cherokee last weekend. Jay lost his wife to cancer the Sunday before Christmas. It was really nice to see Jay and we extend our sympathy to Jay and his family.
The Brent Poss family from Spring Branch spent Christmas Day in Cherokee with the Johnson family. Sue Rhoades also had Christmas lunch with them.
