Eventide Nursing Home's BIG week
Thursday, December 25, 2008 • Posted December 25, 2008

On Saturday, December 13th, the residents had their Christmas party, where it was STANDING room only!

Many friends and family members showed up for the joyous holiday occasion; and in addition to visiting with everyone, they were entertained by the VERY talented group, River Bend, which was established by and is under the direction of Kay Lynn Scott. They filled our home with BEAUTIFUL music, and our residents were blessed and "touched", and later, comments from them were everything from, "They brought tears to my eyes," to, "Their voices gave me chills, as each song got better and better!"

To add to the excitement, they got a SURPRISE visit from Ole' Saint Nick himself.

To end the afternoon, the home provided food that was prepared by Betty Ann Johnson, so without even being there, YOU KNOW IT WAS GOOD!

On Tuesday, we had the Employee party, and the Christmas Door Decorating Contest winners were announced.

Winning 1st Place, and $100 was Shawna Crawford; 2nd Place Belinda Jimenez, $75; and 3rd Place, Martha Chavarria, $50.

Two lovely ladies, Robin Welch, and Rebecca Trump, both creative and talented, were kind enough to take time out of their busy schedules and to do the judging for us!

It was a FESTIVE week, and everyone at Eventide Nursing Home was in the CHRISTMAS SPIRIT!
