Julian Martinez Costilla, 69, of Midland died on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, in Midland. Viewing was held on Thursday December 18, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory. Graveside services followed the viewing at 3:30 pm at Fairview Cemetery in Midland with Joseph Costilla officiating.

Julian was born on May 2, 1940 in Midland, Texas to Jesus and Selestina Martinez Costilla.

Pallbearers were Fideo Costilla, Randy Costilla, Joseph Costilla, Daniel Costilla, Jose Costilla, Emilio Guerrero. Honorary pallbearers were Cesar Banda, Rumaldo Morales, John Costilla, and Gary Garza.

Julian is survived by his children, Fidel Costilla of Lamesa; Joe Costilla; Julian Costilla Jr.; Lydia Costilla; Nancy Costilla and Christine Costilla of San Angelo; Julian and Maria Costilla of Delhi, CA.; Guadalupe Rodriguez of Midland; Robert Costilla; Julian Jr. Costilla; Lilie Costilla and Victoria Costilla from Napa, CA., and five other children of Tijuana, Baja CA. Brothers, Gilbert Costilla; Joe Costilla and John Costilla of Midland. Sisters, Evelyn Garza of San Angelo; Victoria Saul of Nebraska; Mary Costilla and Helen Costilla of Midland; numerous grandchildren.
