Elm Grove Echoes

Today (Monday) has been a very cold day! The thermometer has not risen above 30 degrees all day. Sunday was a beautiful day. We had the grandkids for the weekend and they enjoyed playing outside in the afternoon. There is still no chance for any moisture in the forecast. Even Houston received snow last week, but not here.

There were seven of us present for the Busy Bee Quilting Christmas party last Tuesday. They included Marilyn Miller, Gloria and Fay Lusty, Catalina Luna, Irene Hammett, Carol Orr and myself. Nancy Slaughter and Marilyn Suber were visitors.

We enjoyed a delicious brunch before exchanging gifts. Fay Lusty will bring a quilt for us to work on at the January 13th meeting.

We hope to see all of you at the Elm Grove Christmas party at 7:00 p.m. next Saturday night. I hear Santa will be stopping by the old school house so you would not want to miss that. Finger foods will be served. Come and join us for a real country Christmas.

Dean and Sandra Snoddy had some special guests this past week. Their son, Brian, and grandson, Logan, came from Florida for Danielle Snoddy’s graduation from Tarleton State University. We send our congratulations to Danielle.
