1 Corinthians 15:50 "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God."

Far too many people are ignorant of what happens at death, and confused as to what kind of body we will have in Heaven. If we believe the above scripture we will also believe we will not have a body of flesh and blood like we now have. Once again the Bible is very clear on what we should believe about it, and the answer is found in 1 Corinthians 15:37-38 "And that which thou sowest; thou sowest not that body, that shall be. 38: but God giveth it a body as it has pleased Him, and to every seed his own body." 1 Corinthians 15:44 "It I sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body."

It would be hard to find any person who has not planted some kind of seed. Either in a garden, or a vase, or perhaps in a big field, and they know what happens to the seed when they bury it in the ground. It will decay and they can never use it again. The very same thing will happen to our present flesh and blood body when it is planted; (or buried in the ground). We were advised of this far back in the Old Testament; Ecclesiastes 12:7 "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was;: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it." Almost the same words appear twice in the New Testament reading; "And the body shall return unto the earth from whence it came and the spirit shall return unto God Who gave it." So we know all seeds have to die before they can germinate to bring forth life after their kind. It is just logical to know our bodies have to die and return to dust before there can be germination. If you live a beautiful unselfish life here on earth I am confident you will have a beautiful eternal body that pleases God. It may appear as a beautiful flower in His treasures, or one that brightly shines among the souls resting under His Alter. It will not be flesh and blood, but it will enjoy all the wonderful promises that you have read from the Bible. It will never get sick, it will have no pain, will never grow old, and most of all, never even suffer a disappointment. But how about those who have barely lived a life to qualify them for entrance into Heaven. Selfish, little faith in God's promises and no regard for their fellow companions. Do you suppose they may appear as rag weeds in Heaven? All the above pertains to those who have trusted Christ to be their Savior. If they have not done that, they will not have any part in any of this.

So please keep God in your mind and heart. Strive to serve and please Him to give confidence that you will gain an eternal life that He has promised to all who pleases Him.
