On Tuesday, December 18, the Armadillos went to Comanche to take on the Indians for one more tune up before district play. The Dillos won the contest 49 – 45.

The Armadillos were led by John Henry, who had 19 points, and Travis Hawkins, who had 12 points. Also scoring for the Armadillos was: Ross Williams – 6, Daniel Cisneros – 5, J Miles – 4, Robert Pulatie – 2, and Derek Sears – 1.

At the end of the first quarter, the Armadillos were down 15 – 12. In the second quarter, the Dillos cut the Indians lead to one with the score being 31 – 30. In the third, the Armadillos gained the lead by a score of 42 – 40. In the fourth quarter, the Dillos held the Indians to one field goal and 3 free throws to go on and win the game 49 – 45.

On Friday, December 21st, the Armadillos opened up district play with the 10th Ranked Jim Ned Indians coming to town. With relentless pressure and 60% shooting from the field, the Indians lived up to their number 10 ranking, beating the Armadillos 70 – 28.

Ross Williams led the scoring for the Armadillos with 10. Others scoring was: Travis Hawkins – 5, John Henry – 4, Derek Sears – 4, Robert Pulatie – 3, and Devin Moreno – 2.

The Armadillos get back into action on January 3rd, when they travel to Coleman to take on the Blue Cats. Then on January 5th, the Dillos are at Home against Bangs.
