The Lady Coyotes basketball team now 6-3 on the season. The Lady Coyotes won the consolation bracket at the Rochelle tournament. The Varsity boys are 1-0 on the season.The Varsity girls played Eden at the Richland Springs gym this past Tuesday, and both boys and girls will play in the Cherokee tournament Thursday through Saturday. The Junior High girls are 2-1 and the Junior High boys are 0-3. Both teams played Cherokee this past Monday.

The district will continue Benchmark testing in Math this week and next. Students who don’t pass the Benchmark tests will be assigned mandatory after-school TAKS tutoring until they can pass the TAKS tutoring benchmark.

The San Saba County Stock Show beginning on Friday, January 16th is fast approaching. Contact Mr. McKee for assistance with your stock animals as needed.

There are only 2 weeks of school remaining until the Christmas break and there are only 2 weeks of school left in the third six-weeks. Come visit with your child’s teachers and get involved in your child’s education.

Seven Richland Springs students were involved in three separate auto accidents in a one week period. We count our blessings that no one was killed or seriously injured. Please talk with your student drivers and make them understand that they sometimes do not get a second chance when involved in an auto accident.

The Richland Springs Board of Trustees will meet next Monday, December 15th in the school cafetorium. The public is cordially invited to attend the meeting.

It’s great to see our community supporting students in their efforts to achieve. We have a great community, students, teachers and staff. It takes everyone working together to achieve success.

Students in grades K-3 are getting ready for Santa Claus. They sent letters to the North Pole this week.
