The Lady Coyotes basketball team is off to a good start and they are 3-1 on the season. The Lady Coyotes played Lometa this past Monday and Blanket on Tuesday. The junior high girls and boys played Rochelle this past Monday. The varsity boys played their first game this past Tuesday against Blanket.

The district will begin weekly benchmark testing in Social Studies, English, Math and Science. Students who don’t pass the benchmark tests will be assigned mandatory after-school TAKS tutoring until they can pass the TAKS tutoring benchmark. TAKS testing is only 55 school days away. Come visit with your child’s teachers and get involved in your child’s education.

Gerald McKee commented that swine validation numbers were up from last year. Local exhibitors validated 83 pigs at the county show barn from 8-10:00 this past Saturday.

This week was a short week due to the Thanksgiving holidays. School resumes Monday, December 1st.

It’s great to see our community supporting students in their efforts to achieve. We have a great community, students, teachers and staff. It takes everyone working together to achieve success.
