The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met November 20, 2008 for play day with the Chair for November, Hattie Rogers, calling for a game of team play; with one score from the first hole, two scores from the second hole, and three scores from the third hole. The team of Hattie Rogers, Anita Miles, and Debbie Lee bested the team of Jo Ann Snow, Sandee Hartley, and Dorothy Sterner. Debbie had the Low Gross for the day and Hattie had the Low Net. Dorothy once again was the big winner by chipping in to win the chip in pot and also scored the only birdie of the day.

The ladies were thrilled to have Bobby Churchill join us for lunch. She brought her caregivers, her sister, a niece and her daughter, along for lunch. Bobby is doing well and will soon be back on the course with her therapy and great attitude. Jo Anne Hardy also joined the ladies for lunch. She was ailing and didn’t get to play golf.

The Christmas Party will be December 15, 2008 at the San Saba RV Park Community Room at 6:00 PM. The ladies furnished the RV Community Room in conjunction with the City and this will be the first time they have used the facilities and we are all looking forward to the party. Betty Ann Johnson will be catering the prime rib dinner as she has in the past. If you plan to attend please call Anita Miles or Pat Ribb. All members are urged to attend. It is a fabulous and fun event.
