JOSHUA 24:15 "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you, this day whom you will serve: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

JOHN 15:18 "And if the world hate you, ye know it hated Me before it hated you." And Jesus said, "If you follow Me the world will hate you because it hated Me."

Without doubt we are living in the most dangerous world that has ever existed. Today's scientists have gained enough knowledge to create weapons of mass destruction that have a potential to destroy all human life. They have the knowledge to make them, but may not have the wisdom to correctly use them. Many such weapons may only be known to the scientists who make them, but the most feared is probably the atomic bomb. We know many nations already have possession of them and some may have an evil intent for their use. That thought should strike fear in every human heart, and that fact makes a choice of vital importance for people of all nations to choose leaders who have the wisdom and religious faith to consider consequences of the future. If an atomic bomb is detonated in the midst of a large city, millions of innocent people may be instantly killed, and there is no available protection against it happening. It is a reality that so many nations possess this bomb that it is logical and probable that some evil leader will detonate one in the near future. That puts the world at cross roads that have never been seen before, and endangers the entire world. We certainly need wise and sobering leadership to cope with the possibilities. But the world is so divided it is promoting pure evil hate that is overcoming the shrinking love that should be coveted. Various religions and ideologies prevail that makes compromise impossible. No one can imagine that Muslims will ever even attempt to live peacefully with Christians or Jews. The hatred and division has truly become world wide. Our own great nation, America, is dangerously divided.
