San Saba JV scalps the Indians

The San Saba JV football team traveled to Comanche last Thursday. They were victorious with a score of 40 to 7. The Armadillos were led with solid defense only allowing 107 total yards for the Indians. The front wall of the Armadillos (Morgan Gilger, Tanner Weyerts, Dominic Rosales, and Alex Cervantes) held the Indians in check all night long. Morgan Gilger also recovered a fumble for the Armadillos.

On the offensive side, huge holes were opened up by Tanner Weyerts, Cody Herd, Morgan Gilger,Wil Sloan, Dominic Rosales, and Isaac Jimenez. The offense rolled up 481 yards. Allan Hale led the Armadillo rushing attack with 300 yards on 22 carries. Other rushers were Ryan Pannell with 44 yards and 6 carries, Zach Davis with 40 yards on 5 carries, and Alex Cervantes with 37 yards on 4 carries. The passing part of the offense rolled on as well. Ryan Pannell had 5 completed passes out of 10 attempts for 60 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 two point conversion. Catching these passes were Clayton Perry with 2 catches and 24 yards, Allan Hale with 2 catches and 32 yards, and Zach Davis had 1 catch for 3 yards.

Touchdowns were scored by Allan Hale with 4 and a two point conversion, Ryan Pannell had 1 touchdown, Zach Davis had 1 touchdown and 1 two point conversion.

The JV will be playing their final game of the season here at Rogan Field, Thursday, November 6, at 6:00 p.m. Thank you for all of the community support.
