Highland Lakes Honor Guard to present Veteran's Day Program
Thursday, November 6, 2008 • Posted November 6, 2008

All across America, people of all ages are seeking ways to express their support for those ideals and values on which our country was founded. What better way to accomplish this than for you and your family to attend a Veterans Day program held in your local community? During these uncertain times it can serve as an inspiration for children especially to learn of the importance of Veterans Day and the sacrifices made by our brave veterans who fought and died so we may live in a free country.

To recognize and honor those courageous men and women who have served and are now serving in the Armed Forces of the United States of America, the Highland Lakes Honor Guard will hold a Veterans Day program at the Marble Falls United Methodist Church in Marble Falls on Tuesday, November 11, at 7:00 p.m. This is free to the public – all are welcome and encouraged to attend. The Marble Falls United Methodist Church is located off of Highway 1432 behind H.E.B. and across from the Marble Falls Middle School.

The Highland Lakes Honor Guard is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization comprised solely of war veterans who volunteer their time to render military funeral honors at no cost to the families of deceased veterans. They are the only civilian honor guard in Burnet and Llano County authorized by the Department of Defense to render military funeral honors as Authorized Providers. You can learn more about them at www.HighlandLakesHonorGuard.org. The Honor Guard Commander, Charlie Taylor, can be contacted at 325-248-0450
