8th Grade Dillos pen Brady Bulldogs 26-0

The San Saba 8th grade Dillos controlled the Brady Bulldogs on both offense and defense for a 26-0 win at Rogan field last Thursday night.

Brady kicked to San Saba to begin the contest. Russell Lowe returned the kick to the Dillo 47, Sean Argote had runs of 3,6,and 1 yard.Ryan Guidroz added 6. Argote ran for 20. He capped off the drive with a 10 yard touchdown run.

Good blocking by Russton Ellis. Joe Lindsey, Aaron Perez, Nathan Amstead, Diego Montoya, Micheal McKinnerney and Trevor Tinney paved the way.The PAT failed due to a penalty 6-0 Dillos.

Lowe kicked off for the Dillos. Russton Ellis had a good tackle on the kickoff. A host of Dillos stopped the Bulldog attack led by Ryan Guidroz,Diego Montoya, Dusty Parum, J.T. Mathis, Garrett Hartranft, Luis Vega and Diego Lara. The Bulldogs punted. Russell Lowe returned the punt 35 yards. Argote ran for 6,10 and 4 yards. The Dillos fumbled deep in Brady territory as the first quarter ended 6-0 Dillos.

The second quarter opened with Diego Montoya causing a fumble, pounced on by J.T. Mathis. Argote ran for 5,4,10, 8 and 4 more for a Dillo score. The PAT failed 12-0 Dillos. Marcus Escobedo, Aaron Rixse, Juan Garcia, Nathan Amstead, Juan Ortega, Isaac Zepeda, Josh Robinson, Corey Snider and Trevor Tinney blocked.

San Saba kicked toBrady. Diego Montoya had a good tackle on the kickoff. Brady went to a pass attack. Good pass defense by Diego Lara. J.T. Mathis, Juan Ortega, and Garret Hartranft foiled the attack. Diego Montoya tackled the Brady Fullback on a draw play for a loss. Sean Argote had 2 good tackles. A half back pass fell incomplete. Luis Vega and Sean Argote socked the Brady Quarterback. Russell Lowe had a good tackle just before the half ended to stop a Brady threat. 12-0 Dillos.

The Second half began with San Saba kicking to Brady. Brady managed a first down before Diego Lara had a couple of good tackles.

Isaac Zepeda, Russell Lowe, Juan Ortega, Garrett Hartranft, Dusty Parum and Diego Montoya played excellent defense.

San Saba took over on downs. Argote ran for 6, Lowe for 4. Argote gained 25, then 6. Lowe rambled for 20. Argote finished it off with a good 12 yard touchdown run. The PAT failed. 18-0 Dillos.

San Saba kicked to Brady. Garrett Hartranft had a big hit. Diego Montoya had a good tackle to finish off the 3rd Quarter.

In the 4th Quarter Juan Ortega, Trevor Tinney, Juan Garcia, J.T. Mathis, Corey Snider, Micheal McKinnerney, Russton Ellis, Sean Argote, Isaac Zepeda and Marcus Escobedo played tough defense.

San Saba got the ball back. Argote ran for 8, Lowe 11, Argote 1, Ryan Guidroz added 14 and a first down. Russell Lowe took a hand off from J.T. Mathis and rolled in for a 6 yard touchdown. Lowe took it in for the PAT for a 26-0 lead.

San Saba kicked to Brady. Argote played good defense Hartranft, Vega, Lara, Mathis and Escobedo stopped the pass attack.

San Saba took over. Lowe ran for 9 and 5 yards, Guidroz 2 and then the Dillos killed the clock for a well deserved victory.

Sean Argote carried 19 times for 157 yards an average of 8.3 yards per carry. Russell Lowe had 6 carries for 55 yards for an average of 9.2 yards per carry. Ryan Guidroz carried 4 times for 24 yards with a 6 yard average per carry.

The 8th Grade Dillos face Early in Early next Thursday night.
