HOSEA 4: "My people perish for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject the."+ Luke 13:3 "I tell you, Nay: but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

You will find these scriptures more than once in your Bible where they were repeated directly by our God for emphasis. We should consider them seriously because they project two different views that clearly show God's disappointment for the sins of His people.

Their study reveals His people did not want to hear the Holy Word of God. They were taking the blessings of God and giving nothing in return. Ask yourself the question; is America making the same mistake today? If so, the indictment in these verses should have a vital message to you and I. We are enjoying such great blessings and entertainment it crowds out appreciation and worship of God.

The second point to consider, from the view of God, is that He has a sorry bunch of ministers who are not giving spiritual knowledge to His people. They are content to just pour out the milk of God's Word, but adult Christians also desperately need the meat of God's Word, which can easily be found in the messages God spoke directly too His faithful prophets in the old Testament. Those messages came directly from the mouth of God and often warned the people to repent or suffer severe punishment.

Many of those messages were fearful and unpleasant and showed the awesome power of God; but hose old prophets gave them to the people exactly as God spoke; although it caused them to be hated and abused by the sinful people. Do you think the majority of modern day preachers are brave enough and sincere enough to tell people God can punish sin without mercy if those sins grieve Him to a point no repentance is seen? We are blind and walking in darkness if we do not see America is becoming greatly saturated with win. It would take book length to list all, but please do not fail to know God sees it all, and if it grieves Him enough to stir His wrath: He will punish without mercy.

The Old testament often reveals where God brought heathen nations sinful against His people to punish them. If God's own chosen people that He loved like a husband does a wife failed to escape His punishment: Can we hope to escape for the same sins? The terrorists are eager and willing to come against us right now and our only hope to escape a disastrous future is to believe and practice what God spoke in the scriptures above for this text. Perhaps too many preachers today are refusing to tell their congregations about the awesome power of God to punish sins. They may be afraid the people will be too disturbed to come and bring their money that is so coveted. Most of them have a book or something to sell which consumes a lot of worship time. Jesus was so angry when He saw that, He made a whip and drove them out of the sanctuary. Would He do the same in some of our big churches today? When God looks at America today, will He again have to say. "MY PEOPLE PERISH FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE?" And for the same reasons?
