K.W. (Shorty) McCall

K.W. (Shorty) McCall, 67, of San Saba, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008 in Temple Texas. He was born November 11, 1940 in New Orleans, LA, the son of Lee McCall and Opal Hook McCall. On August 15, 1977, Shorty McCall and Vivian Hamrick Reavis were married in Austin, Texas. He was a retired oil field supervisor, and a member of the San Saba Golf Association. He attended the Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Vivian McCall of San Saba; sons Bret McCall and his wife Annie of Belton, Texas; Kevin McCall and his wife Sheri of Goldthwaite; Mike Reavis and his wife Jo of Henderson, CO; and John Reavis and his wife Kelly of San Saba. Daughters Paula Lewis of San Saba, and Debra Ellis of Round Rock. Grandchildren Dane Ellis and his wife Leslie, Dana Ellis, Stacy May, Dee Dee and her husband Gabe Hernandez, Melissa and her husband Brandon Smith, Amber Gibbard, J. T. Gibbard, Kolby Reavis, Blake Lewis, Mathew McCall, Johna Reavis, and Bryce Lewis. Great-Grandchildren Tanner Ellis, Keira Hernandez, Jackson Ellis, and Eli Hernandez. One brother Jim McCall and his wife Leanne of Crosby, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Fred McCall and his wife Margaret and their children.

Services were held Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Harris Cemetery in San Saba County with Rev. Brandon Smith officiating.

Family requests that memorials be made to the San Saba Golf Association or to the American Cancer Society.
