George Richard (Scooby) Sanderson, 47, of Buchanan Dam, formerly of Bandera, Texas passed away December 4, 2007. He was born to George Shelby and Joyce Marie (Parks) Sanderson on January 26, 1960 in Smyrna, Tennessee.

Mr. Sanderson served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as a certified welder off shore. He was an avid story teller and had a great sense of humor. He also collected guns and motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Sanderson, of Bandera, Texas; mother, Joyce Sanderson, of Buchanan Dam; father, George S. Sanderson, of Pontotoc, Texas; brothers, Ronald Sanderson and wife Janet, of San Saba; Grady Sanderson and wife Tracy, of Cherokee; sister, Julie Owen, of Los Molinos, CA; grandmother, Frances Parks, of San Saba; numerous nieces, nephews, and several aunts and uncles.

Graveside services were held 2:00 p.m. Sunday December 9, 2007 at San Saba City Cemetery.
