On Wednesday, October 1, 2008, the San Saba Cross Country runners went to Lometa. It was a very hot day for running with a very soft course with high grass which made for very slow times.

The competition was from 5A to 1A. In the Varsity Girls, Killeen Ellison was first, Austin High was second, Danessa Vasquez-third, Killeen Ellison fourth and Rebecca Pasrades fifth. Sixth was another 50 yards back.

Alexa Maxcey in the Jr. High division finished second behind an Austin jr. high runner. Excellent effort by our runners.

The next meet will be at Goldthwaite on October 15, 2008 on the Goldthwaite golf course.
