Richland Springs First Christian Church CWF holds monthly meeting
Thursday, October 9, 2008 • Posted October 9, 2008

On Wednesday evening, October 1, 2008 the members of the Richland Springs First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) CWF met for their monthly meeting in the fellowship hall of the church.

Before our business meeting we were served by Christy Crisp, Martha Bush and Vicki Eden.

At 6:50 pm President, Georganna Sonnenberg called the meeting to order. Vicki was called upon to read the minutes of the September meeting, but there were no minutes due to Vicki’s absence of that meeting. Bobbie Adams then gave the treasury’s report. That report was approved by all.

Old business discussed was the work day at the church in preparation for the Hanging of the Greens service set for November 29, 2008. Due to the fact that that is Thanksgiving weekend we may reschedule that work day.

New business discussed: Georganna reminded us all of the scheduled fellowship dinner for this Sunday, October 5, 2008. Georganna also reminded us that our next meeting will be November 5. Hostesses at that meeting will be Bobbie Adams, Sue Williams and Georganna Sonnenberg.

We will continue our study of Mary and Martha at that meeting with the emphasis being on their brother, Lazarus.

Attending this October meeting was Georganna Sonnenberg, Christy Crisp, Martha Bush, Amanda Sonnenberg, Mary Kate Adams, Winnie Shannon, Vicki Eden, Paula Shannon and Bobbie Adams.

We then went into an extensive discussion of the Coyotes for the Cure benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the cure of breast cancer.

We will be sponsoring this event at the upcoming Richland Springs High School football game on October 17, 2008. The Richland Springs Coyotes will be hosting the Robert Lee Steers at Coyote Stadium at 7:30 pm.

We invite everyone in the community to come out and help us support this cause. We welcome and support any donation and with a minimum donation you may purchase a small whisk to help us whip out breast cancer.

All donations will be given to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Come by our table next to the concession stand to donate and for more information.

We would like to recognize and honor all those who are breast cancer survivors. If you are a breast cancer survivor please contact Vicki Eden at 372-6042 so we may honor you.
