JV lose a Close one

San Saba’s JV football team traveled to Dublin on Thursday. The Dillos were in a back and forth battle all night. The Dillos dropped a nail biter 35-34.

Offensively, the Dillos piled up 397 total yards. Alan Hale had 201 yards and two touchdowns for the Dillos. Ryan Pannell was 8 out of 12 for 146 yards passing and one touchdown. The receiving core for the Dillos consisted of Alan Hale- 45 yards, Clayton Perry – 18 yards and one TD, Jason Wells had 2 receptions for 30 yards and Isaac Jimenez for 53 yards and a touchdown. Opening up big holes for the running game was the offensive line that consisted of Will Sloan, Dominic Rosales, Tanner Weyerts, Morgan Gilger, Cody Herd, Alex Cervantes and Isaac Jimenez.

The Dillo Defense played well at times. They held Dublin’s offense to 246 yards. Isaac Jimenez, Tanner Weyerts, and Dominic Rosales led the way for the defense with numerous tackles, and the defensive line that consisted of Weyerts, Rosales, Arrington, Cervantes, Rixse, and Hawkins. The secondary was led by the sure tackling of Ryan Panell and Luke Cox.

The Dillos will next play Bangs at home Thursday night at 6:00.
