GED testing set for October
Thursday, September 25, 2008 • Posted September 25, 2008

The next GED test at Gatesville High School (GHS) will be given October 7th and 8th. Individuals wishing to take the test these dates must complete registration sometime between 5 and 7 p.m. on October 1st.

Registration will be held in Room 22 of Gatesville High School. Access to this room is easier if you enter the back of the school. Be prepared to spend 30 minutes to an hour when registering. You need to bring with you a current state or federal photo ID, Social Security card, and $65.00 for the test fee.

If you've failed the test during 2002 through 2008 and need to retest one or more parts, each part costs $10.00 to retest. In addition, it must have been at least six months since you took the test or you've been to GED classes, plus have a letter from the instructor saying you are ready to retest. Also, you will need to bring a copy of the previous test scores, if applicable. Additional qualifications must be met if you're under 18 years of age.

The GED test will be administered Tuesday and Wednesday, October 7th and 8th, in Room 22 at GHS at 5:30 p.m. Please report by 5:15 p.m. to take the test and be sure to bring original cards, license, and registration receipt at the time of testing.

If you know of someone interested in taking the GED, please pass this information on to them. If you have any questions, you may contact Barbara Huntley at 865-8281.
