San Saba ISD is a large organization, and we are keenly aware that we do not function in isolation but with the help of many outside organizations and individuals. We are so very lucky to have access to many key organizations and individuals in our community to assist the school district further its efforts to help students.

Who am I talking about and what organizations? SSISD is fortunate to have a good working relationship with City and County Officials. The City and County are so good to provide law enforcement coverage at our football games, at lunch time and early morning and during times when kiddos are crossing Wallace Street to attend a function at Armadillo Arena. The City Departments too have assisted us so many times from getting critters like snakes and skunks off the property to testing electrical problems in some of our buildings to providing sandbags on those days we are threatened with bad weather. The fire department was recently on site during our homecoming festivities to make certain students could safely light their “SSHS” in honor of homecoming. The fire truck too delivered the football players to the track for the celebration.

All of the individuals working for the City and the County are so gracious when we come calling for help – so we thank them all for their support of the school district.

We would also like to thank an organization vital to our safety and that is the San Saba County EMS. Many school districts are not as fortunate as SSISD with regard to ambulance coverage.

Some schools are required to get service from a nearby city or community. We are fortunate enough to have at each of our home varsity football games individuals we all know care greatly for our kids and the kids from the opponent schools. We also rely on the EMS to assist us with our annual CPR training. Thank you EMS for your commitment to the students of SSISD.

The efforts of all individuals and organizations help make the school district and the students as successful as they can be. If you would like to assist the school with your talents or organizational resources, don’t hesitate to call…we will certainly put you to work!
