The annual Cherokee Home for Children's auction for 2008 will be held Saturday, September 27th, at 9:30 a.m. at the Home, which is located two miles north of Cherokee on Highway 16. Lots of furniture, appliances, collectibles, lawn and garden equipment, and other great items will be auctioned.

This annual event is made possible through the gracious benevolence from Church of Christ members throughout the State of Texas. Collection of this year's merchandise was started the day after last year's auction, mostly by houseparents who tirelessly drove great distances to pickup items.

In addition, donated items have been received from San Saba area businesses. These items, too, are very much appreciated.

A food concession stand will be available that day. Everyone is invited to share in this very worthy cause and possibly find that "treasure" you just can't live without!
