The Junior High and Junior Varsity football teams were victorious in their outings against Lometa last Thursday. The Coyote JV won by a score of 54-22 and the Coyote JH won by a score of 38-6. The cheerleaders did a great job! The varsity players enjoyed a 62-14 victory over the Lometa Hornets. The junior high will play at Brookesmith at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The junior varsity is searching for a game this week.

There will be a Junior High Pep Rally Thursday at 12:40 p.m., and the Varsity Pep Rally will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Varsity Coyotes will play Gordon at Richland Springs on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Come out and support the band and the student athletes at the games, you won’t be disappointed!

High school art students express their thanks to everyone who purchased raffle tickets for their campus beautification project. $90 were raised and put into the art student beautification account.

Parent and teacher nominations are being sought for students for the Gifted and Talented Program during the month of September. Contact the school at 452-3427 if you would like to nominate a student for the G/T Program.

On September 30th, everyone is invited to Richland Springs’s Open House and Book Fair beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Jim Glossbrenner will also host a student financial aid night for seniors and their parents at 6:00 p.m. in the cafetorium. This program on financial aid is a must for graduating seniors who plan to attend college.

It’s great to see our community supporting students in their efforts to achieve. We have a great community, students, teachers and staff. It takes everyone working together to achieve success. Thanks for all you do!
