San Saba JV plays hard against Mason
Thursday, September 11, 2008 • Posted September 11, 2008

The San Saba Junior Varsity football team came up a little short last Thursday night, losing to Mason in a low scoring contest - 16-8. The Dillo offense was kept off balance by the Punchers as they crowded the line of scrimmage and used several stunts to stop the Dillos from moving the ball effectively. Allan Hale led the team in rushing, followed by Zach Davis and Ryan Pannell.

Tanner Weyerts, Wil Sloan, and Isaac Jimenez were the leading tacklers for the Dillo defense. Mason scored both touchdowns through the air as the Dillos were able to keep their running game in check.

The Dillos will regroup next week and get ready for a showdown with the Goldthwaite Eagles next Thursday at 6:00 in Goldthwaite.
