The Cherokee Church of Christ will have a Gospel Meeting starting next Sunday Morning. Dalton Key will be the speaker. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Delton McGuire has been in Fayetteville, Arkansas presenting his Parenting in a Media Filled World class. If you have not had a chance to see this presentation it would be very interesting to you.

Danny and Janiece Duggan took some time off to celebrate Danny’s birthday and their anniversary last week end.

Don Burdine got a good report on his skin cancers. Things are not as bad as once thought.

Pearlie Walters passed away Saturday evening and services were held at the Bluffton Cemetary on Monday. Pearlie was 93.

The Cherokee VFD would like to thank everyone who made the Annual Fire Department fundraiser a success. We could not obtain the equipment we have without your support. Last night, the VFD raised $20,000 for expenses and equipment needs. Your support is appreciated.

Do your Christmas shopping early at the Arts and Crafts Fair on Super Saturday in Cherokee.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 18th to visit Cherokee and see all the handmade crafts by local and area artisans.

There will be jewelry, handmade purses, beaded purses, monogrammed items with initials or cattle brands, aprons, skin care products, succulents, cacti, pumpkins, John Deere items, baby items, Cherokee Indian Tees, beading and jewelry making supplies. More items will be added daily.

Free booth spaces are still available for those wanting to bring their crafts or antiques.

A beading class will be held in Cherokee on Super Saturday. If you want to learn to make jewelry, string and tie beads and pearls this is the class for you.

Weekend visitors in the home of Robert and Sue Broyles were Les, Mandy and Katherine Broyles of New Braunfels. Also stopping by were Jake, Lacy and Morgan Hardman of Stephenville.
