On Friday, August 22, Richland Springs hosted its first annual debate workshop. Mrs. Geneva Ethridge, widely-known and respected debate consultant, was the presenter.

Attending were seniors Abraham Ahumada, Andrew Fowler, and Khalid Khatib. Also present were Dusty Newby, Sara Hedley, and Brooke Vaughn.

The students spent a busy day learning about the two forms of debate in UIL competition: Cross-Examination Team Debate and Lincoln-Douglas Debate. The students expressed their appreciation to Mrs. Ethridge for sharing her expertise. Melanie Smith was the facilitator of the workshop.
