Jim Jack Martin

Jim Jack Martin, 90, of Anderson, Texas, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2008 in Bryan, Texas. He was born May 16, 1918 in the Bowser Community in San Saba County, the son of Homer Dudley Martin and Josie Miller Martin. On November 6, 1941, Jim Jack Martin and Perry Lou Ann Coughran were married in New Orleans, LA. She preceded him in death in January 1985. Jim Jack was a retired oilfield driller.

He is survived by one granddaughter, Perry Rober and her husband, Jeffrey, of Anderson, Texas; two brothers: Dudley Martin of California; and Dexter Martin of Richland Springs; one sister, Etta Belle Martin of Louisiana; nephew, Tommy Martin of Austin; and several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one daughter, Lou Ann Casby.

Funeral services were Sunday, August 31, 2008 at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home with Rev. George McHorse officiating. Interment followed at the Richland Springs Cemetery.

Family requests that memorials be made to donors' favorite charities.

Services were under the direction of the Howell-Doran Funeral Home in San Saba, TX.
