The next GED test at Gatesville High School (GHS) will be given September 9th and 10th. Individuals wishing to take this test must complete registration sometime between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. on September 3rd. Registration will be held in Room 22 at GHS - you need to come to the back of the high school to be able to easily access this room. Be prepared to spend 30 minutes to an hour when registering.

You will need to bring with you a current state or federal photo ID, Social Security card, and $65.00 for the test fee. If you have failed the test during 2002-2008 and need to retest one or more parts, each part costs $10.00 to retest. It must have been at least six months since you took the test or you have been to GED classes and have a letter from the instructor saying you are ready to retest. You will need to bring a copy of the previous test scores if you have previously tested. If you are under 18-years-old, there are other qualifications also.

The GED test will be administered Tuesday and Wednesday, September 9th and 10th, in Room 22 at GHS at 5:30 p.m. However, please report by 5:15 to take the test, and be sure to bring original cards, photo IDs or driver's license, and registration receipt at the time of testing.

If you know of someone interested in taking the GED, please pass this information on to them. If you have any questions, you may contact Barbara Huntley, Chief Examiner, at 865-8281 (GHS) or 865-2460 (home).
