Buddy and Rebecca Whitley and Harold and Pam Yates of San Saba announce the engagement of their daughter, Ami Lea Whitley, to Jason Lee Nix, the son of Wanda Nix of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Ami and Jason are both graduates of San Saba High School. They plan a September 27th wedding in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of San Saba. The ceremony will be followed by a reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Grusendorf.

After a honeymoon in the Caribbean, Jason will pursue a career with the U.S. Navy, where he joins his brother as the third generation of his family to proudly serve this branch of the armed forces. Ami is a life long resident of San Saba, whose family and friends will miss her as she and Jason travel the world.
