Robbie, Paulie, Trevor and Skye Broyles along with Trevor’s friend Molly visited in San Saba and Cherokee this weekend. Skye participated in the Elm Grove Rodeo on Friday and Saturday night winning the barrel race and a nice new belt buckle. They also attended Paulie’s class reunion held at the Troy Gilger river cabin. They stayed with Robert and Sue Broyles and visited with Al, Andy, Susan, Colt, Paul and Sherri.

Robert and Paul Broyles have a new great-great niece born to Piper and Daniel Garbarino of San Antonio. Her name is Campbell Bess after her great-grandmother, Georgia Bess Broyles Patterson and is welcomed by her big brother, Cooper.

Jed and Victoria Tedder and children spent five days in College Station. Jed took a Beef Cattle Short Course at A & M University. Jennifer and Deacon Henderson came over to see Victoria and kids on Monday. She took them to a really neat park and shopping. On the last day, Jed was able to take K.O. and Witt with him to a Cattle Handling Class. They had a geat time. College Station was a nice place but they were are glad to be home. Candace Henderson went on a vacation to Colorado with Judd, Jennifer and Deacon Henderson.

The Baptist Church will have Revival Services August 24-27. Service Times are: Sunday - 11 am and 6:30 pm. Mon-Wed -7 pm. Everyone is welcome to come. They will have dinner on the grounds on Sunday.

Pat Foster would like to thank everyone for the many kind deeds.

Bernice Kuykendall is in the Scott and White Hospital. She broke her leg.

Llos Boultinghouse is in an Austin Hospital.

Nettie Jean Randolph and family have been vacationing in Galveston.

Mother Goose has been visiting many libraries this summer. She has been to the Mason, Coleman, Round Rock, Marlin, and Cross Plains libraries. August 5th, she was at the Cedar Park library. She had two performances. One at 10:30 and one at 11:15 both programs were with preschoolers. There were about 50 children and adults in each audience. The children recited nusery rhymes and sang songs with Mother Goose. The Moms and Grandmoms always enjoy reciting too. She has one more summer performance in Elgin, Tx on the 19th. She will start working on scheduling her fall perfomances with San Saba Library, Cherokee ISD and other places in the area. She loves visiting many children to share her love of nursery rhymes and other fun poetry.
