The JV Boys basketball team has had another busy week. On Tuesday, December the 4th the boys basketball teams hosted Blanco. Our JV came out on the short end of a 44-19 score. Scoring for the young Dillos: John Faught (3), Holt Oliver (6), John Welch (2), Yason Aguirre (2), Ridge Smith (2), and Josh Cazares (4).On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, December 7th , 8th, and 9th, our teams traveled to Junction for their tournament. In the first game of the tourney, the boys fought back from an 11 point deficit, to beat the JV team from Comfort. Final score of that game was 33-31. Scoring for the Dillos: Faught (7), Oliver (2), Guidroz (12), and Cazares (4). The boys played the JV from Junction next,, and fell to the Eagles by the score of 52-43. Scoring in the Junction game: Faught (9), Oliver (17), Welch (3) , Logan Guidroz (5), Cazares (9). In the 3rd game of the tourney, the boys lost to Ingram 34-28. Scoring in the Ingram game: Faught (2), Oliver (13), Guidroz (5), Smith (4), and Cazares (4). On Saturday, the boys lost to tournament champion Brady, by the score of 40-24. Scoring in the Brady game: Faught (4), Oliver (11), Welch (6), Smith (2), Cazares 4. Also congratulations to Holt Oliver for being chosen as a member of the all tournament team. Holt averaged 11 points a game in this tournament. He was also very effective on defense, had several steals, rebounds, and did a good job of helping bring the ball up.T
