Randy Alcorn tells a fictional tale about two people conversing from Heaven's portal. "Isn't it strange what folks think?" Obadiah asked. The Carpenter nodded. "They cling to youth and health. But they don't take time to prepare themselves for what awaits them."Obadiah nodded. "The one who spends his life moving away from his treasures is going to despair. But the one who spends his life moving toward his treasures is going to rejoice! How often they seem content only to look forward to a new car, a business deal, or the next round of golf." He shook his head in wonder. "Rarely do they look forward to that glorious eternal home."Matthew 6:19-20: "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal."
